What is the event about?
➢E-poster is a presentation option for those who have completed an original research project and wish to present it.
➢You can only present an original poster in which you have authorship. The topic for presentation is your research project, there is no specific topic as such.
➢Presenting author is to be highlighted when submitting abstract.

Clinico-Pathological Correlations
Clinico-Pathological Correlations (CPC) is a case based discussion meant to turn the gears in your mind and make you think outside the box, beyond textbooks and classrooms.
The event consists of 2 rounds;
Round 1:
A clinical case will be put on the DeMedCon website and social media (FB, IG, Telegram & WhatsApp) with the relevant investigations.
The first 5 participants to send the correct diagnosis along with further investigations via email(demedcon2021@gmail.com) will proceed to the 2nd round.
Round 2:
Each of the 5 participants will be given one clinical case each with relevant investigations. Participants will prepare a PowerPoint presentation explaining the diagnosis and further investigations that would need to be ordered and defend their diagnosis in front of the panel of judges.

GENERAL QUERIES
The purpose of DeMedCon
DeMedCon (Devaraj Urs Medical Conference) is a national level Undergraduate conference that primarily serves as a platform for budding researchers to present their work. Additionally, there will be various events to hone and sharpen their skills as a Medical/Allied and Basic Health Sciences/AYUSH graduate such as case based discussions, quizzes, workshops, competitions and street plays.
Owing to the current pandemic situation DeMedCon 2021 will be ONLINE and you will only be having facilities to present your research papers/posters and participate in a competition known as Clinico-Pathological Correlations (CPC) details of which are given below.
Platform:
The event will be held online via Zoom platform over two days-28th and 29th of May.
Event schedule:
The conference will span 2 days and will comprise of plenary sessions by eminent speakers,e-poster/e-paper presentations and a competition called Clinico-Pathological Correlations

REGARDING REGISTRATION
Is there a registration fee?
No, as it is an online conference registration is absolutely free of cost.
Who is a “delegate”and what is “presentation”?
The Delegate option is there for those who wish to just participate and watch the sessions but do not wish to present an e-paper/e-poster or participate in CPC.
Presentation option is there for those who have a completed an *original* research project and wish to present it orally (E-paper) or as a poster (E-poster).
Do we have a chance of presentation if we register as a student delegate?
No. If you desire to present a paper/poster then you will have to register as a participant and choose to present the e-paper or e-poster.
I accidentally registered as a delegate but I want to present an e-paper/e-poster, what do I do?
You can simply register again using the same/different email ID as a participant with the correct details.
What is CPC?
Clinico-Pathological Correlations (CPC) is a case based discussionevent consisting of 2 rounds
Round 1:
A clinical case will be put on the DeMedCon website and social media (FB, IG, Telegram) with therelevant investigations.
First 5 participants to send the correct diagnosis along with further investigationsvia email(demedcon2021@gmail.com) will proceed to the 2nd round. Entries will be accepted for up to 2 hours after the case is put up.
Round 2:
5 participants will be givenone clinical case each with relevant investigations. Participants are to prepare a presentation on PowerPoint explaining the diagnosis and further investigations and present it.
Time allotted for preparing presentation:

2 hours for preparation of PowerPoint

5 minutes to present it on PowerPoint

3 minutes for Question and answers.

Participants will be monitored via video conferencing.

Can we present any paper or only papers in which we have authorship?
You can only present an original paper in which you have authorship. Presenting author is to be highlighted when submitting abstract.
Can one person participate in both paper & poster presentation?
No. You may only register for either e-poster(oral) presentation or e-paper presentation.
Will I get a participation certificate?
Yes, both delegates and presenters are eligible for a certificate *once* they fill out a feedback form that will be sent to them via email after the conference.
What will be the prize?

Will the abstracts/papers be published?
No, they will not.
